Representative Summers to Celebrate Mothers from the Community during 6th Annual Brunch, May 17

WHAT: Representative Zakiya Summers will host the 6th Annual Mother’s Day Brunch to celebrate mothers and their daughters from across District 68. The Brunch will feature a motivational keynote address from Hinds County Chancery Court Judge of Sub District 3 Tametrice E. Hodges-Linzey. In addition, all participants will have the opportunity to receive a massage, to win a gift prize, and to network. The attire is dressy casual.
The event is FREE and any donations will benefit the Veniti A. Hall Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund, created in memorial to honor Rep. Summers’ mother. Sponsors include Mom.Me, Councilman Brian Grizzell, Camille Scales-Young, and Go Ye Therefore Ministries. Partners include Jayne Avenue Neighborhood Association, Bottom Rebuilders, and Rosemont M.B. Church.
