The Jayne Avenue Neighborhood Association (JANA) invites families from across Jackson and beyond to celebrate community, civic pride, and neighborhood unity during October Fest 2026 on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Jayne Avenue Park (3615 Jayne Avenue).

Join me, Rho Iota Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and the Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation for an Awareness Seminar. Together, let’s use our voice, platform, and collective power to raise awareness about sickle cell disease and support those affected.

I am thrilled to deliver the keynote address during the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Chapter Chartering Day.

Rep. Summers will provide a legislative update along with Dr. Victoria Gholar, Executive Director of Myrlie Evers Williams Institute for the Elimination of Heatlh Disparities, who will give the current maternal health landscape during a discussion with child care providers.
