About The Event
State Representative Zakiya Summers, in partnership with the Jayne Avenue Neighborhood Association, will host the 7th Annual Mother’s Day Brunch on Saturday, May 23 at 9:00 a.m. at the Mississippi State Capitol (400 High Street).
All are welcome to this signature community event that will honor local leaders and bring neighbors together for a morning of fellowship, inspiration, and appreciation.
Rep. Summers created this program to honor her mother, Veniti A. Hall Williams, who passed away in 2022. A $20 donation is requested, with proceeds benefitting the memorial scholarship fund in her name, which supports students and invests in the future of the community.
The program will honor 30 individuals and organizations who have made a significant impact to the Jayne Avenue community in West Jackson.
